This policy covers the IUD Period Tracker iPhone app, published by Hbrothers L.L.C. (doing business as Hbro Studio). It does not cover our website or any other app we make.

The short version

IUD Period Tracker has no account, no ads, no tracking and no analytics. We do not operate a server for this app, and there is no third-party code inside it. Everything you log — periods, spotting, cramps, symptoms, notes and your IUD dates — stays on your iPhone. If you turn on Apple Health, your period and spotting days are exchanged with Health on your own device. They still never come to us.

What we do not do

• We do not ask you to create an account or sign in.
• We do not collect your name, email address or phone number from inside the app.
• We do not show ads, and we share nothing with advertising networks.
• We do not track you, in this app or anywhere else, and we do not use the Advertising Identifier.
• We use no analytics, crash-reporting or attribution tools.
• We do not sell or share your personal information.
• We never use your health information for advertising, marketing or data mining, and we never disclose it to third parties.

The app contains no third-party software. The only frameworks it uses are Apple's own: SwiftUI, SwiftData, HealthKit, Swift Charts and StoreKit.

What stays on the device

The app keeps a private database on your iPhone. It holds:

• your daily entries: bleeding level (spotting, light, medium or heavy), cramp level, the symptoms you tap, an optional short note, and whether you marked an IUD check
• your IUD: type (hormonal, copper or not sure), insertion date, planned replacement or removal date, and any previous IUDs you have recorded
• the first name you may enter during setup, used only to greet you
• how you described your usual bleeding pattern during setup
• two internal flags: whether you have saved your first entry, and whether the app has already asked once for an App Store review

That database sits in the app's sandbox. We cannot read it, and other apps cannot read it. If your iPhone is backed up to iCloud or to a computer, the backup can include this database; Apple holds that backup, and we never see it.

Deleting the app removes the database. In the app, Settings → “Delete all app data” erases it too, along with the Health samples this app wrote.

Permissions we ask for, and why

Apple Health is the only permission this app ever requests. It is requested when you tap “Connect Apple Health” during setup, and iOS then shows Apple's own permission sheet, where you decide what to allow.

• Read: menstrual flow and spotting (intermenstrual bleeding) from roughly the last 12 months, so your calendar and estimates start from the history you already have instead of from zero.
• Write: the period and spotting days you log here, so your other health apps stay in sync.
• Nothing else is requested. Not steps, not heart rate, not weight, not sleep.

If you say no, or turn it off later, the app keeps working in full. Every screen and every feature is available with manual logging. The app has no access to your camera, microphone, location, contacts or photos, and it sends no notifications.

Health data

• Types read: menstrual flow and intermenstrual bleeding (spotting).
• Types written: the same two, and nothing else.
• Samples this app writes are tagged as ours. When you change or delete an entry, we only ever update or remove samples this app created. A sample written by another period app is never modified or deleted; if you edit that day here, your change is kept locally instead.
• Health data is read and written on your device, by iOS, at your request. It is not transmitted to us — there is nowhere for it to go, because this app has no server and makes no network requests with your data.
• We never use health data for advertising, marketing or data mining, and we never disclose it to anyone.
• You can revoke access at any time: Health app → Sharing → Apps → IUD Tracker, or Settings → Privacy & Security → Health.

Estimates, not medical advice

Predictions in this app are arithmetic on the days you logged: the median of your recent cycle lengths, projected forward, with a range around it. They are estimates. IUDs commonly change bleeding patterns, so an estimate can be wrong, and the app says so rather than pretending otherwise.

IUD Period Tracker is not a medical device, not a diagnosis and not contraception advice. It cannot tell whether your IUD is correctly positioned or still in place; an IUD check entry records only that you performed a check. It is not a fertility or pregnancy-prevention tool, and it does not replace care from a clinician. Hbrothers L.L.C. is not a HIPAA covered entity. If something concerns you — unusual bleeding, pain, a string you cannot feel, a possible pregnancy — contact a healthcare professional. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

Things you send on purpose

• Support email. “Contact support” opens Mail with a message addressed to info@hbro-studio.com, prefilled with the app version. Nothing is sent until you send it. When you do, we receive your email address, whatever you write and anything you attach. We use it to reply, and we delete the thread once the matter is closed. Please do not include health details you would rather not put in an email.
• Links. “Privacy Policy” opens this page on hbro-studio.com, and “Terms of Use” opens Apple's standard licence page on apple.com. Those are ordinary web visits, subject to those sites' own server logs. Our site has no login and no advertising software.
• App Store review. After your first saved entry, the app asks iOS once to show Apple's own review prompt. Apple decides whether it appears, and anything you write in it goes to Apple, not to us. We store only the fact that we asked, so that we never ask again.

Legal basis (EEA, UK and Switzerland)

For everything held on your device, we are not processing your personal data at all: it never reaches us. Where local law treats that storage as needing a basis, it is your consent, given by using the app and withdrawn by deleting your data or the app. For an email you send us, our basis is our legitimate interest in answering a support request (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)); any health details you choose to include are processed on the basis of your explicit consent (Article 9(2)(a)).

How long we keep information

• On your iPhone: until you remove it, entry by entry, with “Delete all app data”, or by deleting the app.
• In Apple Health: samples this app wrote stay until you or the app removes them. “Delete all app data” removes the ones we wrote.
• Support email: kept while we handle your question, then deleted. Weeks, not years.

Your rights

Because we hold no copy of your data, most requests you would normally make to a company you can carry out yourself, immediately: read your entries in the app, correct them by tapping any day, export period and spotting days through Apple Health, and erase everything with Settings → “Delete all app data”.

If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. If you are in California, you have the rights to know, delete, correct and opt out under the CCPA and CPRA; we do not sell or share personal information and we run no financial-incentive programmes. For anything concerning an email you sent us, write to info@hbro-studio.com and we will act within 30 days.

Children

This app is intended for people who have an IUD. It is not directed to children under 13, or under 16 where local law sets that age, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. Since the app sends us nothing, there is nothing for a parent to request from us. If a child has emailed us, write to info@hbro-studio.com and we will delete the message.

Security

Your entries live in the app's sandboxed database, protected by iOS along with your device passcode and encryption. Health data is protected by HealthKit. There is no account to break into and no server of ours to attack, because we have neither. Email, however, is not an encrypted channel: please do not send us anything you would not want read in transit.

International users

The app runs entirely on your device, wherever you are, so there is no international transfer of your tracking data. If you email us, your message reaches our mailbox, which is operated by our email provider and may be processed in the United States or in Europe.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top, and describe anything material here. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
